What Is Celebrity Cruises' Extend Your Stay Program?
Extend Your Stay is an optional post-cruise experience available on select European sailings.
After checking out of your stateroom on the morning of disembarkation, you'll still be able to remain onboard for several more hours while your luggage is safely stored ashore. Instead of waiting at the airport or wandering the city with your bags, you can continue enjoying many of the ship's facilities until approximately 90 minutes before the ship departs for its next cruise.
It's a great option if:
- Your flight isn't until later in the day.
- Your hotel check-in isn't until the afternoon.
- You simply aren't ready for your vacation to end.
- You'd rather relax by the pool than sit in an airport lounge.
Which Ports Offer Extend Your Stay?
At the time of writing, Extend Your Stay is available on Celebrity Cruises sailings ending in:
- Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy
- Barcelona, Spain
- Venice (Ravenna), Italy
- Athens (Piraeus), Greece
Availability may vary by sailing, and Celebrity may add additional ports in the future.
What's Included in Extend Your Stay?
The standard Extend Your Stay package includes everything you need for a relaxing final day onboard.
You'll receive:
- Secure luggage storage
- Access to the ship's public areas, including the pool deck
- Breakfast and lunch in the Oceanview Café
- Premium Wi-Fi for the duration of your stay
- The Zero Proof beverage package, including specialty coffees, soft drinks, bottled water, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Access to the spa if you've pre-booked treatments before disembarkation
- The opportunity to remain onboard until approximately 90 minutes before the ship departs
Because your luggage has already been removed from the ship, you can spend your final hours completely hands-free.
Extra Benefits for Retreat Guests
Guests staying in The Retreat receive several additional perks with the Retreat version of Extend Your Stay.
These include:
- Access to the Retreat Lounge and Retreat Sun Deck
- Premium Drink Package

How Do You Book Extend Your Stay?
Unlike many cruise add-ons, Extend Your Stay is booked onboard rather than before your cruise.
You can reserve your place:
- At the Shore Excursions Desk
- Through the Celebrity Cruises app
- At the Retreat Lounge if you're staying in The Retreat
Reservations close 48 hours before your cruise ends, so don't leave it until the last minute.
Important Things to Know Before Booking
There are a few things to keep in mind.
You'll still need to vacate your stateroom by 8:30 a.m., just like every other guest. After that, you can spend the rest of the day relaxing in the ship's public spaces.
Once you leave the ship, you cannot return, so make sure you're ready to disembark before stepping ashore.
Your luggage follows the normal disembarkation process. You'll place it outside your stateroom the evening before, and it'll be waiting for you in the cruise terminal when you're ready to leave.
Airport transfers aren't included with Extend Your Stay, although they may be available to purchase separately depending on your port.
Is Extend Your Stay Worth It?
For many travelers, absolutely.
